Lighthouse Public Affairs represents Reproductive Freedom for All at the State Capitol, helping advance a robust legislative agenda that supports reproductive rights, health equity, and access to care. Each year, we work in partnership with Reproductive Freedom for All to co-sponsor and support over a dozen critical bills aimed at protecting and expanding reproductive freedom in California. Our team plays a central role in legislative strategy, stakeholder coordination, and coalition building to ensure strong support across the Legislature and within the Administration.
Most recently, we worked alongside a powerful coalition to pass SB 729 (Menjivar), groundbreaking legislation mandating large group health plan coverage for infertility treatment and IVF, while ensuring that LGBTQ+ individuals and couples are not unfairly excluded from care. As attacks on IVF and reproductive freedom escalate nationwide, our team led advocacy efforts that positioned California as a national leader on this issue. We successfully secured a California Democratic Congressional Delegation letter urging Governor Newsom to sign the bill—an influential show of federal support that helped ensure its passage into law.
