Lighthouse Public Affairs represented Sierra Pacific Industries in advancing comprehensive wildfire mitigation efforts across California. Recognizing the growing threat of megafires, Lighthouse built collaboration among private landowners, state agencies, and the federal government. Key work included high-level engagement with the Governor’s Office and the Legislature to secure CalFire the resources needed to operationalize federally transferred C-130 aircraft, expand the night-flying air attack fleet, and increase sustained hand-crew staffing for more effective initial response.
In parallel, we helped streamline vegetation management approvals and coordinate fuel-break systems across state, federal, and private lands.
These efforts strengthened California’s wildfire readiness—protecting communities, safeguarding natural resources, and reducing the severity of destructive fires.
