A fourth-generation Bay Area native, Taylor is a seasoned political operative and lobbyist with deep experience in strategic communications, coalition-building, and navigating complex entitlement and approval processes.

Since 2010, he has served as a trusted adviser on some of the Bay Area’s most transformative land use development projects. His portfolio includes Kilroy Realty’s 2.3 million square foot Flower Mart project in Central SOMA—the largest mixed-use development entitled in San Francisco in the last 60 years—as well as the Serramonte Del Rey campus project in Daly City, which when completed will deliver a brand-new 1,200 homes neighborhood to a key transit-rich Bay Area community.

Taylor also works extensively with some of the nation’s most prominent retailers and financial institutions, helping brands such as Whole Foods, PetSmart, Citi, Williams-Sonoma, Starbucks, Planet Fitness, Sephora, Grocery Outlet, One Medical and more establish and expand their presence in commercial corridors across San Francisco.

Before becoming a consultant, Taylor served as the LGBTQ Outreach Director for Gavin Newsom’s successful campaign for Lt. Governor of California. Prior to that, his experience spanned from the courtroom as a certified law clerk with the Los Angeles District Attorney’s Office to the classroom teaching logical reasoning and reading comprehension as a Law School Admissions Test (LSAT) instructor for the nation’s top test prep company.

Taylor holds a Juris Doctor from Loyola Law School, where he was a Dean’s Scholar, and his Bachelor of Arts in Music and Classics from UCLA, where he was a Gluck Fellow. Outside of his professional work, Taylor has sat as the principal clarinetist with the San Francisco Wind Symphony since 2012. In 2020 he was appointed Chair of the Friends of Harvey Milk Plaza, leading all aspects of the $37 million redevelopment of the iconic public space at the western terminus of Market Street above the Castro Muni Station.

Taylor lives at the top of Twin Peaks in San Francisco.
